Google Adsense Tips

Posted By: Rdgventure on October 24, 2011 at 1:39 pm

Google Adsense is a enjoyable and easy way to earn some extra money if you do it patiently.  It’s important to follow the rules though as Google is serious about the integrity of their program.  If you do not follow the rules, it could result in your Google Adsense account being terminated.  Here are a few Dont’s for using the program:

1.  Never, ever, ever click on your own ads.  Google Adsense makes it very clear this will not be tolerated.

2.  Do not ask your friends and family to click on your ads.  Rather, earn money by referring them to the Google Adsense program.

3.  Do not participate in the Google Adsense program strictly for the money.  This is not a get-rick-quick scheme.  It will take time and hard work to make a profit.

4.  Do not worry if you don’t understand everything the first day.  Although the Google Adsense program is extremely user-friendly.  It may take a little time to integrate all the facets of the program.  Be patient and above all, have fun!

5.  hopefully, these helpful tips will ease you into using the program and help you avoid mistakes that could possibly cost you a lot of time or money.

Make Money With Google Adsense

Posted By: Rdgventure on October 3, 2011 at 12:37 pm

How much money can I make with Google Adsense?  How much do you want to make?  How hard do you want to work?  And how much time do you want to spend working the Google Adsense program?  These are the questions you much ask yourself in order to answer that question.  Look at it this way:  how many business opportunities come your way where the only requirement is hard work and the time it takes to work hard?  Not many.  Almost any business venture requires some kind of start-up money.

If your total earnings is showing zeroes after a week, you need not worry.  Keep reading and learning and working.  If however, you’re still showing zeroes in your account after a month, it may be time to implement some of those optimization tips you’ll find on the Google Adsense Support Site.  Play around with the placement of the ads on your site.  Consider changing the colors.  Look again at the content.  Is it interesting?

As with any other business, with the Google Adsense program, the sky is the limit.  Work hard.  Work smart.  Have fun.  After all, you’re the boss.  The Google Adsense program is a flexible, hassle-free way to earn revenue by sharing relevant and engaging ads alongside your online content.  When I first started blogging, I didn’t realize the income potential of having relevant ads on your site.  It is a great concept.  Google gives you detailed and customized reports which lets you know how well your blog is doing with the Google Adsense program.

Google Image Ads

Posted By: Rdgventure on September 14, 2011 at 11:49 am

Google Image Ads are unlike traditional banner ads, image ads are also targeted to the appropriate audience, just like text ads.  a publisher that has a combination of image ads and text ads has a greater revenue generating potential.  Image ads are only for adsense for content pages and not available for adsense for search results pages.

There are 5 major formats of image ads.  The Leaderboard, which is about twice the size of a banner ad, the banner image ad, the skyscraper, the wide skyscraper and the medium rectangle.  Google’s technology determines on a page by page basis whether image ads, text ads, or a combination of both will make you more money and then deliver the appropriate format.

You can choose to run only image ads, but Google recommends selecting both, thereby giving them a better chance to target the right advertising for your page, generating more revenue for you.  The bottom line is if you take these two methods together, it will give you the best chance at making the most revenue.

Whenever, you start your blog, one of the first things you can do is to create a Google Adsense account.  If you’ve already done  that, you’ll just give them the same publisher ID you got when you originally signed up with Google Adsense.  Since you can only have one Google Adsense account, you will always use the same publisher ID on every site you add.

A very good traffic tip for your blog is to interact with the blogging community.  You are more likely to have your blog read more often and it will increase traffic to your sites.

Learn How to Make Money Blogging

Posted By: Rdgventure on July 9, 2011 at 1:35 pm

There are two very important types of business models that entrepreneurs use to make money blogging.  The first and most common way to turn a blog into a profit making machine is to sell advertising to different companies and brands who want to reach that blog’s readers.  The second kind of money making blog is one that helps a single brand improve its image by creating positive association between the blog and the product in the mind of consumers.  Both kinds of blogs can make a lot of money, especially if the creator has a keen mind for marketing.

If you are blogging with the goal of selling advertising, there are two basic ways that you can go about recruiting sponsors who wnat to put ads on your site: you can let someone else do all of the legwork, or you can do the work yourself and keep all of the revenue.  Within the first group, many people make money blogging by selling space through Google’s Adsense program.  The advantages of this program are numerous, as it requires very little effort on the part of the blogger or webmaster to begin raking in profits.  However, most people discover that they make less money through this method than they had hoped that their blog would earn.

Selling advertising directly to companies who want to put banner ads or sponsored links on your blog can take quite a bit of time, but it is often fairly lucrative.  If you have a lot of contacts in industries that are related to the topic of your blog, you may want to try to go this route.  People who have a strong background in sales are experienced at pitching proposals can make quite a bit of money by renting blog space to interested companies.  The most serious problem with this model is that you often have to build quite a sizeable readership before you can attract advertisers, which can mean you have to do several months of work before you start to make money blogging.

As blogging becomes a more lucrative business, a lot of established companies are considering how they can get into the action.  One way that companies are capitalizing on the blog movement is by having blogs that provide a kind of friendly face for their corporation.  Often, a company will employ an established blogger to create a weblog designed specifically to appeal to that company’s customers and to create positive associations with the brand in consumers’ minds.  More than one writer who never even dreamed that he or she could make money blogging has been approached by a company and offered quite a pretty penny for this pursuit.

Adsense tips

Posted By: Rdgventure on June 19, 2011 at 4:43 pm

Some people are lured by affiliate marketing because it can be financially rewarding, even if you just stay at home.  Affiliate marketing programs are best alternatives to those who are sick and tired of their arduous daily work just to climb up the corporate ladder.  Here are a few tips on Googe Adsense to help put you on your way to financial freedom.

Google adsense is one of the most popular search engines or tools for locating various resources in the world wide web.  The Google Adsense program allows you to display these ads in your website and when your visitors click through them, you earn.  The advertiser, which is the mercahnt pays Google for every click-through made by the customer and you as a partner of Google, gets a share from that payment.

What’s great about the Google Adsense is that the ads are relevant to the content of your web page.  Most likely, visitors of your web site are interested on the theme of your site and specifically on the content of your web page.  So, seeing ads related to their interest would definitely drive them to click through the link or the ad.  Using state-of-the-art technology, Google scans your website and matches the content of your pages to their large database of advertisers; this way, Google is able to find ads that are targeted by the users pf your site.  In addition, Google changes the ads in your site as you change the content of your pages, so you can always expect the ads to be relevant to your site.

Advertisers in the Google Adsense program range from large international brands to small-time domestic and local businesses, so the targeted market for the ads can range as well.  This adds variety to your site; thereby, attracting different kinds of users.  As  you attract more users, you increase your earning potential as well.  If you are targeting a specific nationality for your site users, don’t worry because adsense can be used in different languages.

In order to boost your revenues through Google Adsense, you must pay attention to making web pages of high value topics.  Make contents related to hight-paying ads, so you can earn more.  Some ads pay only a few cents while some ads pay you dollars just for a single click.  You would need to do a little research on this so you can come up with a more relevant content.  Join affiliate marketing forums and get tips from experienced marketers.

Becoming an adsense affiliate marketer is easy and fast, you just have to apply online and once your application is approved, you instantly set up Google ads in your site.  All you need to do is copy and paste some codes in your web pages and in no time the ads will appear in your site.

Google Adsense Policies

Posted By: Rdgventure on June 8, 2011 at 8:43 pm

Google has a set of policies that you must adhere to.  The Google Adsense program policies make no allowances for deceptive practices.  The most important thing a publisher can do to ensure the integrity of their site is to be aware of what is happening on your site.  Google has made it a priority not to click on your ads or ask others to do so.  But what about practices a publisher may not purposely carry out?

You have to make sure that ads associated with Google never appear in an unrequested pop-up.  Don’t be talked into purchasing traffic for your site that may contain adware.  Respect the Google trademarks.  Don’t use any Google trademarks or logos without their consent.  Do not change the Adsense code even if you are a pro at HTML.  Do not assume you can add your own code.  If you are new to HTML, simply copy and paste the offered code.

Provide a good environment for advertisers and a positive user experience.  Don’t try to be deceptive in any way.  Google’s rules may sound strict, but believe me, protecting the integrity of the Google Adsense Program is in your best interest as well as Google’s.  After all, a positive, honest Google Adsense program means more money for all of us.

Do you need to buy a book to use Google Adsense?  Not necessarily, because Google’s support page has a wealth of information but you might consider it if you want to read a personal account of an Adsense wizard such as Eric Giguere or say, if you want to learn more about HTML.   “Who Let the Blogs Out”, by Biz Stone has a lot of information on blogging as well as information about Google Adsense.  The following is just a few books you can find at Amazon.com on the subject:

Make Easy Money with Google:  Using the Adsense Advertising Program by Eric Giguere

The Google Adsense Handbook by Angus Mcleod

Google Advertising Tools:  Cashing in with Adsense, Adwords, and the Google APIs by Harold Davis.

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Growing Your Business with Google by Dave Taylor

These are just a few recommendations for you to consider in learning how to grow your business on the internet with Google

Keep Your Adsense Account Safe

Posted By: Rdgventure on June 7, 2011 at 12:44 pm

Google is the owner of Google Adsense, so it is important for bloggers to follow the rules and regulations of Google just like you would any other business entity.  Keep in mind, that if you do anything wrong using adsense, whether intentionally or unintentionally, will result in a severe penalty, may even get your account banned or even terminated.

If you are thinking of using adsense, do not just think of the strategies you will be using to generate more earnings.  Consider some things first before you actually get involved.

HIDDEN TEXTS.  Filling your advertisement page with texts too small to read, has the same color as the background and using CSS for the sole purpose of loading them with rich keywords content and copy will earn you a penalty award that is given to those who are hiding links.

PAGE CLOAKING.  There is a common practice of using browser or bot sniffers to serve the bots of a different page other than the page your visitors will see.  Loading a page with a bot that a human user will never see is a definite no-no.  This is tricking them to click on something that you want butthey may not want to go to.

MULTIPLE SUBMISSIONS.  Submitting multiple copies of your domain and pages is another thing to stay away from.  For example, trying to submit a URL of an adsense as two separate URL’s is the same as inviting trouble and even termination.  Likewise, this is a reason to avoid auto submitters for those who are receiving submissions.

LINK FARMS.  Be wary of who and what are you linking your adsense to.  The search engines know that you cannot control your links in, but you can control what you link to.

PAGE RANK FOR SALE.  If you have been online for quite some time, you will notice that there are now some sites selling their PR links or trading them with other sites  If you are doing this, expect a ban anytime in the future.  It is okay to sell ads or gain the link, but not on direct advertisement of your page rank.

DOORWAYS.  This is similar to cloaking pages.  The common practice of a page loaded with choice keyword ads aimed at redirecting visitors to another “user friendly” page is a big issue among search engines.  There are many SEO firms offering this kind of service.  Try to avoid them at all time.

MULTIPLE DOMAINS HAVING THE SAME CONTENT.  In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domain IP’s, registry dates and many others.  Multiple domains with the same content is somthing you can not hide.  The same goes for content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

The techniques just listed apply to most search engines and is not entirely for Google only.  Be mindful to keep building your adsence together with you pages for the human users and not for bots,  You can be sure of  great things for your ads and sites.

Google Adsense

Posted By: Rdgventure on May 25, 2011 at 11:40 am

Google Adsense is for everyone because the internet is a very interactive environment, and its interactions come from the people who are browsing.  They choose whether or not to follow a certain link and the term “navigating” is probably the most precise one at describing this situation.

Google Adsense is great because it links together buyers and sellers.  Yes, you have to hand it out to Google for a brilliant idea.  They know there are people out there that want to buy stuff and people who want to sell them what they’re interested in.  And Google Adsense helps members of the two categories find each other.

It works for the visitors, because the model is very transparent.  You don’t see a huge graphic banner which tries to lure you into buying something.  You just see a few words and if you like what you see you just click it.  It works because visitors don’t have that feeling of someone trying to lure them into spending money.  Ironically, however, they’re wrong.

It works for the adwords advertisers because their ads go everywhere.  Not only will they find themselves listed in Google’s search which gets gazillions of hits per day, up front without working as much for SEO and waiting so much.

Their ads can reach any website that deals with anything similar to what they’re trying to sell.  Now you must realize they could never pull offf such great advertising by themselves.  And that brings us to the thing that makes Google’s Adsense a publisher’s best friend.

It comes from the fact that the ads are contextual, that they somehow related to the keywords you deal with on your page.  Because people are on your site, which deals with a particular topic and you already know that they are interested in that topic.

You have to appreciate Google for creating Google Adsense because it is a great deal.  You have to appreciate how well thought out, yet simple this scheme really is.  Sure, in practice it has a few quirks but those are minor and, up to this point everyone seems to be enjoying Google’s Adsense.

3 Adsense Basics

Posted By: Rdgventure on April 21, 2011 at 12:25 pm

If you are new to blogging, you probably do not know the essentials of Adsense.  Adsense is considered as one of the most powerful tool in a website publisher’s arsenal.  It enables a person to monetize their sites easily.  If used properly, it can generate a very large and healthy income for them.  How you can start earning money with Adsense can be done easily and quickly and you will be amazed at the results you will get in a short period of time.  Of course, you have to start out by writing some quality content articles.  You can do this if you follow these three steps.

1.  Keyword Search:  Find some popular subjects, keywords or phrase.  Select the ones which you think has more people clicking through.  There is a keyword selector and suggestion tool that some sites offer to bloggers who use their adsense business.  You should write original content with keywords from the topics that you have researched.  Take note that search engines are taking pride in the quality of their articles and what you will be writing should keep up their demands.

2.  Quality Content Site:  Build a quality content site incorporated with Adsense ads that targets the subject and keywords of your articles and websites.  This is where all your hard work will pay off and where your keywords will prove to be worthwhile.

3.  Proper Positioning of Your Ads:  Try to position your ads where surfers are most likely to click on them.  According to research, the one place that surfers look first when they visit a certain site is the top left.  The reason behind this is not known.  Maybe it is because some of the most useful search engine results are at the top of all other rankings.  So visitors tend to look in that same place when browsing through other sites.

Finally, Adsense has some excellent tracking statistics that allows webmasters and publishers to track their results across a number of sites on a site by site, page by page basis.  Another thing you should know.  Banners and skyscrapers are dead.  Ask the experts.  You are better off if you forget about them.  You should have a definite focus on what you want to achieve with Adsense and like any other business time is needed along with patience.

Alternatives To Adsense

Posted By: Rdgventure on April 19, 2011 at 12:39 pm

Affiliate marketers can make money on their website by using adsense, but did you know that there are alternatives to adsense that may better suit your needs as a website owner.  Every website owner needs to find a way to advertise their products.  Google’s adsense is an ad serving application in which website owners may generate income on either a pay per click or pay per impression basis.

There are some noteworthy alternatives to the Google adsense program.  Here is a list of some of the most popular ones with a in depth description of their features.

Allfeeds (http://www.allfeeds.com/?action-publishers)

Allfeeds has a great pool of online advertisers to choose from.  It also features many display formats that you can choose from.  These include banners, buttons, XML feeds, DHTML pop-ups and so on.  It also features real time reporting of your ad status.  The site will mail a check every month, provided that you earn more that $25.00, while rolling over earnings for the next month if you don’t.  Another interesting thing about Allfeeds is that it intergrates with Google Adsense, maximizing your earnings with Adsense.

MarketBanker (http://www.marketbanker.com/mb/sell.php)

Marketbanker allows you the unique possiblity to set the pricing for your site.  It also allows you to allow or reject any link that appears on your site (although adsense itself does a very good job of this as well, with URL filters)  There’s also a statistics section which will allow you to see how well your site is doing.  The ads are small just like adsense and just as earsy to set up.  Also, registration for Marketbanker is free.

BidClix (httpL//www.bidclix.com.PubTop.html)

BidClix is different because it has advertisers compete for clicks on your site, which in turn is meant to generate the highest possible profits for your page.  It also has a very large pool of advertisers which ensure there are plenty of people to choose your site.  However, it does require more polish on site contents than adsense.  As most sites, real time statistics are available and its very easy to get started with this service, but it’s also very flexible.

Chitika (http://www.realcontent.com/index.php?option=Realcontent:+Targeting+Engine)

RealContext uses artificial intelligence to retrieve the most relevant ads for your page.  There is an extra feature which makes RealContext unique as well.  Keywords are selected based upon which previous selections paid off and which ones did not.  That means there is a constant feedback process that ensures you gain better revenue from your ads.  It also supports blocking certain adds and child-safe filtering and many more options.

AdHearus (http://adhearus.com/webmaster.php)

AdHearus is a very feature-packed contextual ad provider.  As with adsense, advertisements are targeted but it doesn’t stop here at all.  The ads are very flexible, you can select from text-ads, banners, rectangles, pop-ups, pop-unders or skyscrapers.  you can also display your own ads, through rotation, both on your site and on other affiliate sites, which makes AdHearus a hybrid with conventional advertising technologies.  Ther’s a very comprehensive on-line real time reporting feature and, as usual with such services, starting out is free and it’s a breeze.

AffiliateSensor (http://www.affiliatesensor.com/)

AffiliateSensor has highly customizable ad blocks, which you can make for yourself with an easy to use on-line interface.  You also get realtime reporting with clicks-by-domain, page and referrer.  There’s integration with Google Adsense as well, through the google alternative ad URL so AffiliateSensor can be used as a substitute for Google PSA’s (Public Service Ads).

Kanoodle Bright Ads (http://www.kanoodle.com/about/brightads.cool)

Kanoodle’s offering allows you publishers to get ads related to topics or segments and not the traditional keyword oriented ads.  The site also groups publisher sites with advertisers by hand to ensure high-revenue generating ads.  And speaking of revenue, the amount of money you receive is a clear 50% share of the amount of money Kanoodle receives for an advertiser.

Targetpoint (http://publisher.targetpoint.com)

TargetPoint is oriented more towards content publishers.  It offers full control over the look of the ads, statistics over your site’s overall performance and better revenue.  It’s free to register and you earn a guaranteed 60% of the total revenue.  You can get paid with Paypal or bank checks and wire transfers as well.

Clicksor (http://www.clicksor.com)

Clicksor will earn you as much as 60% from the amount of money your website produces.  What you get is about the same as adsense, there are targeted text ads, you can view the revenues from your website in real time.  You can receive money via Paypal or through a check evey two weeks, provided you have earned mone than $50.  If you haven’t made that much, your earnings roll over to the next period.

You need to have optimized niche website templates for best results.  You may find the best adsense templates and blog templates at www.AdsenseTemplates.com (http://www.adsensetemplates.com).  They are offering 100 fresh new templates every month.
